She might be only 10-years-old, but it looks like Gia Giudice already has her own social-networking site thanks to her mom, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice.
Fans of the young fashion model and 5th grader can check out her tweets on her Twitter account, which according to her mom, is monitored by Xist Talent Agency.
Some of Gia’s tweets include, “So excited to start 5th grade tomorrow. I think I’m going to wear something from Abercrombie. SCHOOL IS MY RUNWAY!”
Gia also gave her 5,000 Twitter fans a sneak peak at what’s to come in her next magazine cover, posting, “I’m gonna be in InTouch magazine this week. It’s gonna be a BIG surprise.”
Mom Teresa doesn’t seem to mind that her 10-year-old daughter is being exposed to the Twitterverse and has even promoted her account on her own page, posting, “Alright so Gia finally has a Twitter account! It’s @TrueGia. It’s really her, but her mgr @XistTalentMaria monitors it so be nice! She’s 10!”
While Twitter does not have an age restriction for its users, rival Facebook does, with users under 13 years of age not permitted to join the social-networking site, even though many under-age accounts are unverified.
What do you think? Is Gia too young to have her own Twitter account? Is mom Teresa being a responsible parent by allowing her young daughter to Tweet to strangers on the internet?
Also, as a mother, shouldn’t Teresa be monitoring her daughter’s internet activity, and not her daughter’s manager? Let’s hear your thoughts on this.
