Apparently, there are some exemptions as to what can go up for auction, as anything purchased after the couple filed for bankruptcy cannot be sold. And there’s purchases of about $52000 that may qualify under these exemptions.
Attorney John W. Sywilok, who is seeking to conduct the public auction, doesn`t think that these exemptions should apply given the Guidice`s blatant reckless spending habits.
“These represented purchases totaling approximately $60,000 within approximately 60 days after filling,” Sywilok wrote. Sywilok claims that the couple were still spending thousands of dollars on ridiculous purchases within 60 days of their filing. So ridiculous that those purchases included $6,000 two days prior to filing to cover a furniture order costing a total of $21,810!
Apparently Giudice doesn’t quite understand the meaning of the word ‘bankrupt’! Most people who file for bankruptcy don`t go on to spend $60000 in 2 months! Are we not tired of these spoiled people yet? What do you think of the reckless spending within weeks of filing for bankruptcy?
