The Duchess of York Joins the Queen of Daytime

sarah fergusonThe Duchess of York is about to go head-to-head with the queen of daytime television.

Sarah Ferguson is set to join the Oprah Winfrey Network in a six-part reality series targeted at helping the former member of the British royal family rebuild her life.   The show, aptly titled Finding Sarah, will follow Sarah as she attempts to sort through the turmoil of her life with the help of a set of Oprah experts including Dr. Phil, Suze Ormon, and Martha Beck.

The Duchess will allow cameras to follow her as she works through her recent public troubles (offering access to her ex-husband for a fee) and addressing her lifelong issues with weight, love, and money.   It certainly sounds like stuff most of us can relate to only on a more royal level.

“I’m doing this because I need to heal my mind, body and spirit,” Ferguson says of the show.  “After 22 years of raising my two amazing daughters, it’s time for me to mother myself. My hope is that sharing my journey will help someone else.”

Finding Sarah is set to premiere on the Oprah Winfrey Network in early 2011.

Will you tune in to see the Duchess pull her life back together?
