The End of an Era: The Bee Gee's Robin Gibb Has Died at the Age of 62Sunny Chanel
The Bee Gees, they were HUGE. With hits from songs in iconic movies like Saturday Night Fever and Grease to their own albums, this family band was the sound for a generation. And now, Robin Gibb, one of the founding members of the Bee Gees, has died at the young age of 62. What happened to the pop star and dad of four?
Robin Gibb has lost his battle with cancer. A statement was released saying, “The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery. The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”
Robin Gibb leaves behind four children; Spencer (b. 1972) and Melissa (b. 1974) with first wife Molly Hullis, Robin-John also known as RJ (b. 1983)), and in 2008 he had a child out of wedlock with his housekeeper.
Our thoughts go out to his children, his family, his friends and – of course – his fans.
