Angela Kinsey, who plays the uber-conservative, humorless Angela on NBC’s The Office, in real-life is a mom to two-year-old Isabel and loves to have fun. But the actress, who recently split from ex-husband and Isabel’s father, Warren Lieberstein, has her own set of challenges in being a single mom.
Kinsey recently spoke to people about parenting–and ensured everyone she doesn’t really have it that bad. Kinsey noted that no matter what, parenting is a difficult. “I think it’s a tough road if you’re a stay-at-home mom, a working mom, if you have a partner, if you don’t,” she said. “It’s the best job in the world, and the toughest job in the world all at the same time.”
And despite their split, Kinsey said she and Lieberstein are great at the whole co-parenting thing. “I am so incredibly fortunate that I have a great partner in Warren; he’s an excellent dad,” she said. “We have a really wonderful relationship co-parenting, and I’m thankful for that. We have each other’s backs, adn we try to give a united front to Isabel.”
And it seems that’s all she really needs to raise her daughter well. In fact, the actress said she doesn’t even have an assistant–something totally rare in Hollywood, especially with parents. Kinsey is set on staying down-to-earth, whether it’s with raising Isabel or her everyday life. “I feel like I sort of forget sometimes that I am doing a show that a lot of people might see,” she said. “Sometimes the fame part of it creeps up on me, and I’m like, ‘Wait a second, I’m just a working mom!'”
While we think her “working mom” life is slightly different than the majority of working moms in America, we’re happy to hear some refreshing words from a celeb parent–and we wish her luck!
