For those of you getting up hoping to see photos of the Royal couple dashing away on a glamorous honeymoon, you’re just going to have to wait! William and Kate have decided to forgo the traditional honeymoon immediately following the wedding by relaxing for the weekend then heading back to work next week.
The newly named Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did dash off on Saturday morning for a destination away from the press and public, but they’re only going to enjoy a weekend off at a “quiet location”. One that apparently can be reached by helicopter from Buckingham Palace.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately,” the Palace announced. “Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week. The locations of both their private weekend and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance.”
My guess is that the couple wants to throw off the press that would inevitably attempt to follow them on their honeymoon.
What do you think of the royal couple delaying their honeymoon?
