The Royal Wedding will kick off tomorrow with a tribute to Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana. The royal couple has decided to start the ceremony with a hymn that was sung at his mother’s funeral.
The hymn, Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer, will be the first hymn sung during the ceremony which is expected to garner a television audience in the millions. The song was the last hymn sung at Princess Diana’s funeral in 1997.
The tribute seems a very fitting moment for William who was extremely close to his mother. He had already given Kate his mom’s diamond and sapphire engagement ring. We fully expect to see other reminders of Princess Diana and her impact on her son’s lives as the royal wedding ceremony commences tomorrow morning.
