The Talk has lost one of its’ moms. Leah Remini - one of the original co-hosts of the show – will be leaving.
The Talk which takes on current event “through the eyes of mothers,” has had it’s fair share of changes. First Marissa Jaret Winokur left the show, then Sharon Osbourne took a leave of absence to spend more time with hubby Ozzy. And the show’s creator and executive producer Sara Gilbert has been gossip fodder after it was revealed that she and her partner have decided to separate. But the latest news to rock The Talk’s world is the departure of Leah Remini. And where was the news confirmed?
Why Twitter of course. What did she say? “It is official: I am sorry to say that I have NOT been asked back on the show. Sorry to my fans. U worked so hard! I adore u guys.” She also tweeted, “I want to thank you all for the fight you have put up. Man! You guys are awesome! It warms my heart 2 know u were there 4 me.” Sounds like that even though the fans wanted her, the producers did not. Another person disappointed by the news?
Remini’s co-host Holly Robinson Peete who tweeted, “devastated by the news that Leah was not asked back to The Talk. She brought humor, heart and authenticity.” By the by, Holly’s fate is still up in the air since her contract hasn’t been renewed yet.
There has yet to be any news about the exact reason for the change, maybe they just needed to adopt a new mom.
To fill the gap left by Remini, the Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner will guest host for a couple weeks.
Will you miss Leah Remini on the show?
