Estimates ranged from $100 to $600 million. But now we know that Tiger Woods’ divorce payout to Elin Nordegren was $110 million.
Elin walked away from her marriage to Tiger with quite a fortune but she is certainly not flaunting it. Elin has not been extravagant either, a source close to the situation said.
For example, Elin flew to California and back to Orlando this past week on Virgin America, instead of chartering a private jet as she would previously.
“She could afford the jet but didn’t even consider it,” the source said. “She’s not cheap, but she’s just not throwing money around and wasting it the way some people would.”
Elin has kept her nannies and other household help as she shares custody of her two children with Tiger.
“She’s not acting like she hit the lottery.”
Well I’m sure Elin is being very careful with her payout, as she has also shown to be careful with her public statements about the divorce.
Surely traumatized by the numerous affairs that came to public knowledge, Elin seems to want to move on with her life and take care of her children. She’s not looking for any more public attention.
And she wasn’t looking to push to get every last penny from Tiger, although she probably could.
“She wanted enough money to not change her luxurious lifestyle but she didn’t try to take him for every penny that she could. Elin wants to get on with her life.”
