Tiger Woods Responds To Elin's Interview

It seems like this tiger has emerged from the woods to speak of something far more important than his celebrity scandal. Tiger released a statement to the same magazine that nabbed Elin‘s first interview talking not about himself, but his and Elin’s role as parents. The statement, which People included as an addendum to its interview with the athlete’s ex, reads, “This is a very painful, personal and private time for our family. Throughout this entire time, Elin has shown unwavering concern and support for our children. She is a wonderful mother. I know that the two of us will do everything we can to help our children adjust to this new family situation.”

Tiger’s public concern for his children after the fact is, well, concerning. I am finding it difficult to give him credit for “doing everything [he] can to help his children adjust” to a situation that his selfish actions and complete disregard for his family caused. Did we need him to inform us that Elin is a wonderful mother? No. But thank God she is, because I have about as much faith in Tiger as I do in Lindsay Lohan. Which, by the way, is not a lot.

Tiger continues, “We both cherish the time we can spend with Sam and Charlie. Whether it’s taking Sam to school or hitting balls with Charlie on the range, nothing gives me more enjoyment than these simple pleasures. We have two special kids, and I’m going to enjoy every minute with them.”

What do you think of Tiger’s statement?
