The remaining chefs on Top Chef All-Stars had to do a quickfire challenge on a ferry using only the foods they had in the snack bar. The chefs didn’t even know how long they would have- it was just as long as it took the ferry to get to Ellis Island.
Carla won the quick fire with an orange salad. Richard was a little bitter about it.
The Elimination Challenge had an interesting twist: each of the chefs’ backgrounds was researched to find out historical facts about their families. And then a family member showed up to help each chef go through the family history. Antonia and Mike learned they were cousins.
For the eliminataion challenge, the chefs had to make one dish that represents where they came from. The winner of the challenge gets a Toyota hybrid, along with getting to move on to the final four. The Top Chef judges were full of love for all the dishes, at least while the families were there.
All five of the remaining Top Chef All Stars were called in for Judges Table. And actually, the lovefest continued at Judges Table. It became clear that it would be near impossible for anyone to be sent home on this week’s Top Chef All-Stars.
Tonight’s winner was Antonia. And we find out that the finals are taking place in the Bahamas. Mike moves on to the finals, too, leaving Tiffany, Richard, and Carla on the “bottom.”
Richard moves on to the finals….and then we go to a commercial. Where is the fast forward button when you need it?
Carla and Tiffany both go to the Bahamas to the finale!
