Trent Reznor Wins An Oscar For Best Original Score!

As a huge Nine Inch Nails fan, I was so excited to see Trent Reznor win an Oscar tonight for Best Original Score!

Trent Reznor and his British composing partner Atticus Ross both displayed disbelief over the winning of the best original score Oscar for their synthy, non-orchestral soundtrack to Oscar nominated The Social Network.

Reznor told reporters backstage. “I am truly stunned by this. David [Fincher] bugged us to do it. I’m very glad we did. It’s been the best experience I’ve ever had from start to finish.”

Ross said that he had “been stunned” by every bit of recognition they two of them had received throughout award season. When they heard of their Oscar nomination, he said: “That morning I thought, ‘Wow, this is a reality.’ I’ve come in with no expectations. It’s been incredible.”

Congratulations to them both!
