That’s a lot of allowance! Angus T. Jones, 16, who plays Charlie Sheen’s nephew on the hit show Two and a Half Men has signed a $300,000-per-episode contract, which makes Jones — who will earn at least $7.8 million over the next two seasons plus a $500,000 signing bonus — the highest-paid child TV star.
And he may earn even more. CBS has guaranteed 48 episodes over the next two seasons, meaning Angus could make $14.4 million, plus a $500,000 signing bonus. Sheen is expected to make about $98 million over the next two seasons. Jones was paid $250,000 per episode under his last contract which still had him making more than most other child stars.
Other kids make big bucks: Miranda Cosgrove, who makes $180,000 per episode of her Nickelodeon hit iCarly; Selena Gomez, with $25,000 per episode of her Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place; and Dylan and Cole Sprouse, who reportedly earn $20,000 per episode of Disney Channel’s The Suite Life. Miley Cyrus earned $15,000 per episode for Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. But Parade magazine reports she made $18.2 million in 2008 thanks to sold-out concerts and merchandising deals.
