It would appear Vanessa Williams is one of those annoying parents who hits up their colleagues to buy their kids’ Girl Scout Cookies. She was spotted with her daughter delivering cartons of Thin Mints, Tagalongs and Samoas to the Studio 54 Theater where she is performing in “Sondheim on Sondheim.” Is it just me or do you hate when co-workers try to make you buy stuff their kids are selling?
I guess Girl Scout Cookies are the least offensive, because at least they’re delicious. I especially hate the raffle tickets (do the sellers really tell you if you win or steal the prizes themselves?) and magazine subscriptions. If I want to have a subscription to a magazine, I already have it. So now you know: don’t ask me to buy stuff your kid is selling. And I’ll return the favor when mine are old enough to start the requisite hawking of said items.
