Kate Gosselin would like you to know that being on a reality TV show is a really good and healthy thing for her troubled children. Really. The mom of eight went on NBC’s “Today” show this morning for the 1 billionth time to set the record straight about the Gosselin kids being expelled from school last. No, no, no, she insists, the darn paparazzi got it wrong. They weren’t expelled. But they are having some anger issues that stem from the divorce. Click on for the video.
“I’ve talked to other moms going through divorces — very normal, normal stuff in that regard,” the “Kate Plus 8″ star told Meredith Vieira this morning. (Hey, she talked to other moms? So I guess this report yesterday about her having no friends wasn’t true!) “So I did what I could do. (The school and I) mutually agreed. I brought them home. I have them with a private tutor, an early education teacher. She is teaching them one on one, and they are excelling, along with weekly therapy.”
Of course then Gosselin insisted that her kids’ troubles have NOTHING to do with their every move being filmed 24 hours a day. “I believe it wholeheartedly, as does the evidence that you see on TV, that it is in their best interest, and that it is something that is wonderful for them. And we would not be doing it if it wasn’t,” she said.
Does anyone else wonder if, like the proverbial tree falling in the forest, Kate Gosselin would cease to exist if there were no TV cameras around? Watch the video below.
