Roughly a quarter to a third of pregnancies end in miscarriage, but oddly we don’t talk about this issue all that much. Lisa Ling is aiming to change that. Today on “The View,” she came out of the closet, so to speak, about her own miscarriage, and she’s hoping to encourage a more open dialogue about this devastating loss by starting a web site for women to share their own experiences anonymously. Click on to watch Lisa Ling on “The View” discussing her miscarriage.
Ling, who suffered her miscarriage six months ago, says she felt like a failure when the doctor delivered the news. She lost her baby when she was nine weeksmonths into the pregnancy. After it happened, she found out that a number of women she knew had suffered the same heartbreak, but had never talked about it before.
Here’s the video. My heart goes out to her. I’ve been there, and it sucks.
