Okay, this is by the far the most entertaining thing I’ve seen today. Scratch that. It’s the funniest thing I’ve been all week!
In this new clip from the folks at Parks and Recreation, Patton Oswalt of comedy club, Ratatouille and The King of Queens fame takes us on a geeked out journey into his mind and what he envisions Star Wars: Episode VII should be like. And I have a feeling it is not what J.J. Abrams and the Disney production team have in mind.
In the clip, Parks and Recreation crew asked Patton Oswalt to filibuster for a scene in a courthouse. He rifs for eight whole minutes, completely improved, about a Star Wars and Marvel mash-up. Explaining everything to how there is a “link to the Star Wars universe from the Marvel universe,” via something he calls a “time ribbon,” (pointing out that J.J. Abram can think of a better name for it). He goes into great detail, so much detail, that you have to believe that Patton has put way too much thought into this. Anyhoo, I don’t want to spoil his crazy plot twists and turns, but check out his Star Wars and Marvel inspired filibuster here:
