Westboro Baptist Picket 9-Year-Old Shooting Victim's Funeral, Says Child is "Going to Hell"

”‹The Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas announced they will picket the funeral of 9-year-old Christine Taylor Green, who was killed during the attempted assassination of Gabrielle Giffords on Saturday in Tucson.

The Phoenix New Times talked to Shirley Phelps-Roper, one of the leaders of the Westboro Baptist Church Group. Phelps-Roper told the newspaper that the group not only planned to protest the funeral of the 9-year-old but that they were “looking forward to it” and that the child was “going to hell”.

There is a special place in hell reserved for Fred Phelps and the funeral protesters from Westboro Baptist Church. The fact that the members of Westboro Baptist Church protests at funerals is horrible. That these people picket funerals in the name of God makes them evil.  The “church” website URL is

According to CNN, the people of Tucson are preparing a plan to stop Fred Phelps and his band of crazies. CNN reports that “Romaine Patterson, who saw Westboro Baptist protest the funeral of his friend Matthew Shepherd. People are signing up to wear giant ‘angel wings’ that shield mourners from the picketers.”
