While I was in school my mother used to pack my lunch daily. Each time the bell rang and I sat down in the cafeteria and opened that brown bag it was the same thing-Peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a cookie.
It wasn’t the most nutritional thing, but it was stock standard. It’s what everyone ate at lunch. It was as if the school handed out a pamphlet on ‘What to feed your kids during school hours,” at parent teacher conferences.
But could you imagine Apple and Moses eating such common food? Of course not.
In Gwyneth’s newest GOOP newsletter she says she makes her two kids“vegetable sushi” for lunch!
According to Gwyneth, veggie sushi is “a great way to use leftover cooked rice and sneak some extra vegetables into your kid’s diet—not to mention a great way to get rid of those extra soy sauce packages that always seem to accumulate in the kitchen drawer.”
It’s a healthy choice and therefore a good suggestion, but I’m wondering how many moms would roll their own sushi after a long day! Gwyneth’s kids are obviously not picky eaters.
