Who Will Be Kate Gosselin's Valentine's Day Date?

Kate and her 8 Valentines

Kate Gosselin is young, lovely, trim, famous and very single – so you can’t really expect her to spend Valentine’s Day all by herself, can you?

Of course not! And, as it happens, she has a big day all planned, complete with sweet tokens of love and a special dinner.

In her latest blog post for Coupon Cabin, Kate proudly announces how she’ll spend February 14. Will she be snuggling with her bodyguard Steve Nield, with whom rumors have linked her for years? Or did she find love on the set of Dancing With the Stars?

No and no.

“My date is with my 8,” Kate announces, referring of course to Mady, Cara, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. “They own my heart!”

“This year, I am lucky to have eight reasons to celebrate the love on Valentine’s Day,” she adds. “I always do little inexpensive things to make heart day special for them.”

She’ll start by making homemade Valentines for each of them, using a foam craft set she bought at Target. She also bought little gifts to put in special pouches on their chairs in the dining room.

Kate will keep the theme going at mealtime. For breakfast, she’ll serve heart-shaped muffins, followed by heart-shaped peanut butter crackers at lunch and heart-shaped pasta for dinner. In the past, she’s done the same with burgers, pancakes and sandwiches.

“None of these things cost a lot, but they mean a lot to my kids!” she concludes. “I have always said that Valentine’s Day is a great day to remind your family and friends how much you love them.”

Sounds like a perfect family day. And what mom wouldn’t love being smothered with hugs and kisses from a gang of eight kids?
