Why Did Eva Longoria File For Divorce From Tony Parker? 5 Reasons Why

Eva Longoria Parker and Tony Parker

In photos on the red carpet Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and her husband Tony Parker looked like a perfect couple. But all was not well in the superstars home. It was announced that Eva Longoria has filed for divorce from Tony Parker after three years of marriage. So what went wrong? Why did their marriage fail? Here are five issues that may have plagued their pairing.

The biggest rumor is that Tony Parker was having affair and supposedly with one of their friends. Word is that there are hundreds of text messages between the two. A pal stated “Once the trust was lost, the marriage was over.”

Another factor? Fame. When celebrities marry, they rarely stick together. Be it either if they are in the same discipline (like the movie biz) or if they’re in different fields like sports and TV. Both Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are famous in their fields with lots of added pressure which surely impacted their relationship.

Time together?  These two are busy, really busy. With Parker traveling for games and Longoria’s long hours on the set, these two probably don’t get much time together.  And one of the things about marriage, is it takes two, two in the same house!

Did the age difference cause a problem? Tony is just 28 and Eva is a more mature 37. Did his “basketball star in his twenties” energy clash with Eva’s more mellow thirtysomethingness?

Did the issue of starting a family cause a problem. Seeing that Eva is 37, her clock was no doubt ticking and she had stated in several interviews that she was looking forward to starting a family. One pal said “Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with Tony and have children with him.” Was Tony just not ready yet? Or perhaps it was too hard for Eva to work in a pregnancy and a baby into her busy work schedule?

What do you think the issue that broke their marriage one or all of the above?
