Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes: What about the kids?
Details are starting to emerge on why Kate Winslet and husband Sam Mendes decided to break up. Why did this power couple break up and opt not to ‘stay together for the kids’?
“She felt bored,” a pal of the pair told the NY Daily News. “When Sam isn’t working, he’d just as soon stay home. Kate loves going out. … She was the one pushing for the divorce.” They added that, “They’ve been pretty much living separate lives since the end of the summer. They realized some time ago that they were not a good fit. They were more like brother and sister.”
And they also pointed out that, “The divorce is “amicable, civilized, very British.”
Hopefully the ‘civilized’ divorce will make the transition smooth for the couple son Joe, as well as Kate’s daughter from her first marriage.
