Why Does Anthony Bourdain Love Sardinia So Much? There is a Very Good Reason

Anthony Bourdain loves the Italian island of Sardinia. And it’s not just because of the cooking. Yes, he loved the fresh seafood, the lobster and the pasta. But there is another reason why he loves this seafaring land. His wife Ottavia Busia is from Sardinia and it was a place they returned to not just as a couple but with their young daughter Ariane.

During a marathon of No Reservations on the Travel Channel, many were struck by the beauty, the culture and of the food of Sardinia. The episode aired a while ago, but the images, culinary delights and seeing Anthony Bourdain totally giddy about the food, have many people looking up the costs of plane tickets to the far flung island. One of the sweetest things to see during the episode is seeing Bourdain with his young daughter. Most are used to seeing Bourdain as a been there, done that bitter traveler. But his eyes seem to glow during the show. Sharing the food of this beautiful land with his wife and daughter.
