Will and Jada Pinkett Smith Back Together, Says New Report; Fought Over Kids' Careers

A happy family again?

With so many famous marriages hitting the skids lately – Kobe Bryant‘s and Jennifer Lopez‘s, to name two – it’s nice to be able to report that one couple is taking themselves off the list.

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were reportedly separated and heading for divorce court this summer. Rumors flew about separate bedrooms, heated fights, Will’s late nights drinking with pals and even cheating – Jada was said to have had a fling with Marc Antony. As late as last week, the tabs were saying the marriage was over.

Now? All is bliss again in the Smithiverse, for now. TMZ cites sources who claim Will and Jada have reconciled and that things are “wonderful.”

But what nearly drove them apart, the insiders say, was their disagreements over kids Jaden and Willow. How could those two adorable children possibly drive them apart?

Actually, it was Willow and Jaden’s careers that caused all the friction. The sources say that Will wanted to push harder to make the kids superstars, while their more conservative mom preferred a more gradual approach.

No word on who won out, but given that Will and Jaden are said to be working together on a new sci-fi film directed by M. Night Shyamalan, one can only surmise.

And of course the Smiths’ reconciliation has nothing at all to do with Will’s upcoming Men in Black 3, whose trailer was just released in theaters. A messy divorce could overshadow the buzz about the film, but that’s purely irrelevant, we’re sure.

What do you think? Are the Smiths back together for good, or is this a temporary peace before the next round starts?
