A little about the real boat -the Queen Anne’s Revenge that was featured in the Pirates of the Caribbean films was named after Blackbeard’s pirate ship. In early summer 1718, the Queen Anne’s Revenge wassank off the coast off the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The Queen Anne’s Revenge was found shipwrecked off the coast of North Carolina back  in 1996. It was confirmed to belonging to Blackbeard just last August 2011. Yeah, pretty cool.
