Winter Storm Hits 100 Million People: Top Movies to Cure Cabin Fever

Groundhog DayThe winter storm going on in the central U.S. is expected to affect 100 million people. States from Texas up to the Rockies to New England have been getting pounded by winter weather.

In Chicago yesterday, 900 cars were stranded on Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive during the blizzard.  There were still 300 cars stuck on the Lake Shore Drive as of Wednesday morning! If you’re one of the 100 million people affected by the winter weather, you need to stay off the roads and in your house.

I’ve been snowbound for almost 3 days and I’ve got a terrible case of cabin fever!  Here are some of my favorite movies to cure cabin fever during the Blizzard of 2011.

Groundhog Day - The perfect movie for a snowy day.  Nothing like Bill Murray’s famous Groundhog Day movie to get you into the spirit of Groundhog Day 2011. You have to check out some of the best quotes from Groundhog Day. The Social Network - It’s up for an Oscar but you can get The Social Network On-Demand!  We know you can’t make it out to buy the movie but you can get it On-Demand or buy the story of the founding of Facebook on iTunes.

Legally Blonde – You can’t be sad watching the story of Reese Witherspoon as the blonde sorority queen is dumped by her boyfriend, she decides to follow him to Harvard Law School to get him back.   Sit back and watch Elle Woods (Witherspoon) as she takes over Harvard Law with her unique style.

Who can forget the famous “Perm Scene”? I love Legally Blonde and it’s one of my favorite cures for cabin fever!  What are some of YOUR favorite movies to beat cabin fever?
