Accepted Rich Media Vendors

Rich Media / Third-Party Video
• Third-party served videos must include play and stop buttons, may include a replay button and may be site initiated or user initiated.
• Sound must be initiated by a user click (not a rollover) and must include a "sound-off" button.

Custom Video Units
• If Babble is hosting the video please send it in Quicktime format. Non-QuickTime videos may require more lead time.
• No file size limit or specific dimensions.
• Babble will create a custom unit that streams the video from our server and includes a stop and "sound on" button. When the video is finished playing it will end on a slide that includes a "replay video" button.
• While video is playing the entire unit will click through to the client’s landing page.

Babble Video Pre-roll
• The Babble video pre-roll is a video that plays automatically before video content. These are custom units that run directly through our video server and may not be served by a third-party.
• QuickTime preferred but we can accept and convert any type of video. Non-QuickTime videos may require more lead time.

Audio
All audio must be initiated by a user click (not a mouse rollover) and must include a "sound off" button.

Floating / Overlay Units
• Floating units and overlays must include a visible close button and may include resolve units.
• A floating or overlay unit may last a maximum of seven seconds.

Expandable Units
728x90 expands down; expansion panel max 728x300p
160x600 expands LEFT; expansion panel max 250x600p
300x250 expands left, down; expansion panel max 350x500p
• Expansion may be user initiated by mouse rollover or a user click (audio must be initiated by a user click NOT rollover)
• We do accept video in expandable units. Please see above for video specs.
• Expanded units must contain a visible close button.

Homepage Preload and Interstitial Commercial Break
Babble utilizes in-house homepage preload and interstitial commercial break software. Both units appear on their own page and transition to the page the user has requested after a set number of seconds. The preload lasts for a maximum of 30 seconds, the interstitial for a maximum of 7 seconds.

Flash
• If you are sending flash files (.swf) they must be accompanied by a .gif or .jpg backup.
• All flash (.swf) files must contain the clickTAG below. (No embedded click thru urls.)

Other Specifications

Third Party Tracking Tags
• Accepted third party vendors include DoubleClick (including Motif), Mediaplex, Atlas, Bluestreak, Google, Interpolls, Poindexter and Valueclick.
• Third party tags must be compatible with our ad server and must include a place to insert the OAS click-tracking string.
• All third party tags must include a call that opens the landing page in a new browser window.
• We do NOT accept third party tags in the Daily Babble Newsletter or HTML emails.
• Babble requests a third-party login to compare third-party numbers to our ad-server’s numbers.

Lead Time
Five days for all creatives.

Daily Babble Newsletter
• The Daily Babble includes a 160x600 tower, 30k max, and a 140x25 partner link, 15k max. Static JPG or GIF units only.
• Newsletter tags are not compatible with third-party tags (including 1x1 pixels) or Flash. Babble will provide full report at campaign's end, including sends, opens and clicks
• Rich Media NOT accepted

HTML Email
• Third party tracking tags NOT permitted
• Email tags are not compatible with third-party tags (including 1x1 pixels) or Flash.
• Babble will provide full report at campaign's end, including sends, opens and clicks
• Client must supply click thru URL
• Babble will host the email
• Creative must be delivered 5 days in advance
• Maximum 100k
• Maximum 700x900 pixels
• CSS based HTML design not permitted
• JavaScript not permitted
