Casey Mullins

Casey Mullins of moosh in indy is widely known for her unintentional authenticity and honesty on topics ranging from antenatal depression, parenting, pregnancy, and nipple hair. Her ability to relate to others through difficult feelings, situations, emotions and experiences earned her the #19 spot on Babble's Top 100 Mom Bloggers last year. Long time readers of moosh in indy have been with Casey through things like secondary infertility, a difficult pregnancy, severe depression and a near divorce. But it's not all sad stuff, as the mom of two little girls, Addie, born in 2004, and Vivi, born in 2011, Casey finds some of her greatest inspiration, hope, fodder and embarrassment courtesy of the two wild and precious little people running amok through her home on a daily basis. A regular contributor to several parenting sites, as well as an award winning photographer, Casey has never been afraid to say what so many others are afraid of admitting. From her overdose while 7 months pregnant to resenting her children, Casey has found strength and community in admitting to her faults and working through them using words and photography as a way to reach out to others who may be struggling. More than anything, Casey believes in the healing properties of sunshine, the power of naps, the wonder of babies, the magic of birthday cake and the pure awesome that are cats. Casey also wrote this entire bio in the third person while listening to the 'Rudy' soundtrack on iTunes, Casey may hate writing bios, but she loves pretending her life has it's own running soundtrack.
