Selena writes stories, creates art and cooks delicious food whenever and however she can; answering to motherhood and family first. When the chaos permits, she looks for other parents to revel (and or kvetch) in motherhood with. A perpetual dabbler, she has been known to freelance as a Creative Director & Consultant in the web design, social media realm for her own brand and other clients who don't care about Skype/G-chat meetings that may include mini-kid photobombs.

Most embarrassing parenting moment:
All of the countless times one of my kids asks if a woman is pregnant (to her face or within earshot), when she’s not, when they tell people they have large heads or that they have bad breath, etc. Basically, the lack of a social filter.
Something I hide from my kids:
The good chocolate, the Apple TV remote and the truth about Santa.
The one piece of advice I’d give to a new parent:
Give up the expected in life and be ready to never know what’s coming next. And prepared to be loved like you’ve never been loved before.
