10 iPhone Apps for Shopping and Saving

Here’s a little something you should know about me: I love my iPhone. Love! I use it for email, social networking, blogging, games, reading, shopping, and more. I can go days without turning on my computer, but my iPhone is with me all day, every day.

I’m completely convinced this amazing tool has paid for itself several times over. I have 3 separate folders for personal finance, shopping, and money saving apps. I use my iPhone to create grocery lists, use coupons, check bank accounts, find stores, and make informed purchasing decisions.

Here are my favorite money saving iPhone apps:

  • PayPal (And Other Bank Apps) 1 of 10
    PayPal (And Other Bank Apps)
It's always good to keep an eye on your finances. You can't properly budget if you don't know how much money you have. With the PayPal app, you can view balances, split bills, send & receive money, and transfer money to your bank account. I also use the Serve app and mobile apps for my bank accounts.
  • Errands: To-Do List 2 of 10
    Errands: To-Do List
I keep my shopping list in the Errands To-Do List app. It allows me to create a checklist of items, a recurring to-do list, and even sort by home, errands, and work to-dos. It's the perfect way to stay on top of my shopping list, wherever I am.
  • Simon Malls 3 of 10
    Simon Malls
With the Simon Mall app, I can check the map before I even leave the house to know where I should park for the day's errands. The app also includes store deals, special event details, and a parking reminder where you can take a picture of your car's location. I've also found mobile apps for some of my favorite grocery stores, with weekly sales, digital coupons, and store maps.
  • Amazon Mobile 4 of 10
    Amazon Mobile
The Amazon mobile app allows you do almost everything you could do online. Plus, you can scan barcodes for search to get reviews, check prices or add an item to your wishlist. I use the Amazon wishlist for budgeting — keeping things I'd like to eventually purchase so I can save up or use gift cards as I earn them from Swagbucks and other reward sites.
  • Fabric Converter 5 of 10
    Fabric Converter
This is a must-have app for any crafters out there! When the pattern calls for a certain fabric width but the materical you've fallen in love comes in another, this calculator will help determine your purchase.
  • Groupon & Daily Deal Apps 6 of 10
    Groupon & Daily Deal Apps
Groupon, Eversave, and other daily deal sites have mobile apps. Not only will you never miss another deal, but you can redeem your deal vouchers right from the app, avoiding the cost of printer ink and the risk of losing the voucher along the way.
  • SWAGG 7 of 10
    SWAGG
Use the SWAGG app to eliminate the giant stack of rewards & gift cards. Simply enter the cards into your app and use them at checkout from your phone. There are also mobile coupons to use at their partner stores to save extra money.
  • ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner 8 of 10
    ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner
Just like with the Amazon app, you can scan the barcode of items you are considering for purchase. See reviews, compare prices online, and find items available in your area.
  • Fuel Finder 9 of 10
    Fuel Finder
You'll always get the best price on gasoline when you use the fuel finder. It shows the prices for gas stations in your area. We use it a lot for traveling by looking ahead to find the best place to stop along the way.
  • Cellfire Mobile Coupons 10 of 10
    Cellfire Mobile Coupons
I love Cellfire e-coupons as a simple way to save money without clipping coupons. But, it doesn't work if I forget to check before I leave the house. With the mobile app, I can store digital coupons right there in the store — it will even pop-up with a reminder when I get to Kroger.

Please note I am only familiar with the iPhone, because that’s what I’ve used for the last several years. However, I do know that many of these apps are also available in the Android marketplace.
