Passport and Travel Documents

Most important thing to remember to pack is your passport and all necessary travel documents. Without those you'll be waving the ship goodbye.

Everyone should have a key lanyard that fits around their neck- attach your room card to it, and only take it off when you’re swimming. Cards fall out of pockets and purses, but if it’s around your neck, you’ll never lose it.

Cash for tipping. Except for officers and entertainers, the overwhelming majority of staff on cruise ships are from poor countries, and cruise lines aren’t exactly known for their generous salaries.

if i were you id bring 2 pairs of comfy walking shoes…with excursions and all the activities youll be doing…the last thing you want to do is go buy a new pair of sneakers because something happened to your other ones!

the number one thing I forget for cruises: SWEAT PANTS. goodness, i know i need a pair for comfort!

  4. Selena Mae says:

Great list! Bare bones…but really all one needs I suppose, however – I am an iver-packer and probably always will be. And the pink charger!!! I want the pick charger!

I pack light — some sunscreen and a book, I’m good to go! Pants by request.

I always have a separate file folder, the kind that you get in a client presentation, with all the documents in it. Travel insurance, itinerary, hotel numbers, passports, etc.

Dont forget to make a photocopy of them and leave them at home with a friend, or scan and upload to dropbox. Just in case you lose everything.

I have recurring nightmares that I’m leaving the country and have forgotten my passport, so your first tip made perfect sense to me!

DEFINITELY some medicines – especially tummy meds! Immodium, Pepto, etc. The food can be so rich that things can get…erm…you know.
