Fridge Baskets

I love the baskets from Wal-Mart. You can use them to collect food groups within the refrigerator.

Great tips!!!! Can someone do one on organizing your spices, please? That’s what I need!

Linda asked about organizing spices; I do all mine in alphabetical order. Ones I use often are in a rack over the sink. The ones I use only for specialty cooking, or are too large to fit on my nice rack are on a lazy Susan in ONE cabinet. I take all the spices, the day I open them and write the date. About once a year, (usually on a day I am bored, but not so bored to do laundry, or vacuum, I will ditch any spices that are over a year old. Alphabetizing works best for me. I have on my smart phone, an app called Out of Milk and it works great. I keep a running tab on the “pantry” section of spices I use most and which I am low on. So, if they come on sale while I am at the store I know which ones I need and which I may be low on…but not actually be in dire need of, because it’s rarely used.

    Ashley -
I’d love for you to look at my organizing product and give me some feedback! There are some great ideas here, mine is for smaller containers, to take the place of all those little deli sized ones, or to put your ingredients in that you use daily. storage system.
My uses have changed much over time, but now I use it for all my breakfast items and a few additions I want to use up or use more often (perishables like cilantro, and my cooked veggies) Anyway, thanks for the post – that is the neatest fridge I’ve ever seen.
