It doesn’t surprise me that a lot of yarnbombing happens in the northwest; I am from Seattle and it’s a crazy bunch up there (in a good way).  I love yarnbombing not just because it’s art in public and brings attention to fiber arts and knitting but because it’s just plain fun.  I’ve never walked down the street and seen yarnbombing, but I hope to one day.  It makes people think and take notice of the little things, don’t you think?  Here’s a great post from Apartment Therapy on the movement; but before you visit there take a peek through the slideshow to see some beautiful examples of yarnbombing.
