25 Forest Woodland Craft Ideas – Perfect for Fall

By craftyamy |

I’m seriously getting into fall as the weather is getting cooler here in the South.  I’ve been thinking about fall crafting projects and what my favorites are, and I realized it’s anything to do with forest animals or woodland creatures.  This includes gnomes, squirrels, acorns, foxes, mushrooms and more.  I seriously love this little kids’ gnome Halloween costume spotted on Pinterest, so I took it a step further by finding 24 other woodland craft ideas.  See them all after the jump!

Big, big Babble fan here! I love your articles and all the inspiring round-ups of projects and recipes. One question ~ how do I get on your radar? I hope I’m not being obnoxious, pushy, or sounding arrogant ~ just genuinely and humbly wondering where you find all your great material, and if you were actively looking for new sources.

This month in particular, there have been several features where I’ve mused, “These are great! My ___ would have be so perfect for this list!”. For example, in the round-up of Star Wars crafts, my tutorial for making a replica of Han Solo frozen in carbonite would have been awesome! I was definitely caught up in the woodland whimsy of today’s post and it made me feel good to know that my “How to Make Woodland Toadstools from Fondant” post this week is right in line with current trends.

Keep up the “Awesome”! Many thanks,

Oops, forgot to mention that the Han Solo in carbonite was made from chocolate. Mmmm…

LOVE This! Have you seen the paper costume crafts on Paddywhack Lane.com? So cute too. We started them because my daughter flips for the playsets and the books. Between the markers and the glitter, we’re in full costume mode to prep for Halloween. I love the idea for the grass with the mushrooms. Might be one of those things we make and hang on her wall…would make a cool 3D picture!
