25 Inspirational Outdoor Living Spaces!

By Natalie |

In many parts of the country, the coming weeks are the best time available to spend out of doors, wrapped in cozy sweaters and quilts around a bonfire, or in just a light cardigan for a fall dinner with friends. Soon there will be snow, slush, and bitter winds. But for now it’s crunching leaves and just a slight chill in the air –perfect for a little late afternoon get-together! If you have a stretch of grass to call your own, these images will seriously inspire you!

Being city rats, we don’t have a backyard (unless you count Central Park, which, romantic as that sounds, I don’t), and so instead I shall live vicariously through these amazingly gorgeous and inspiring images of my favorite outdoor living spaces, and daydream that someday they will be mine.

Personally, I loved your Moscow backyard patio the best–how come you didn’t post a pic of that?!? And, um, can I say I want those birdcages?!? I found one at DI months ago–a cool one, not a plastic one that birds actually lived and pooed in (the only kind available 99.9% of the time). And it was $5. And I wasn’t sure. So I put it back (MISTAKE!!!) and then changed my mind and went back, AND IT WAS GONE. Boo hoo hoo. I had visions of stacking books in it, or propping a stuffed crow in it for Halloween, or SOMETHING cool. Never, ever, EVER put something back in a thrift store until you’re good and sure you don’t want it!!!
