With all the crafty type business I get myself into, it’s the planning of a birthday party that is my true creative passion. I’ve always worked well with deadlines, and frosting. Clare, my oldest, is now requesting party themes. Last year we rocked a Sleeping Beauty done right (if I do say) party and she has been teasing me with the promise of a Pocahontas party this year. Please, please, please don’t change your mind. I have so many ideas for that one! If you are looking for the perfect theme for your kiddos next party, here are 25 Unique Kids Birthday Themes to make your head spin. I’m dying over that Princess & the Pea party…

We did a party like the art one pictured for my daughter last year! We thought ahead, during the back to school sales we got lots of boxes of crayons and watercolors for favors. We made homemade crayons in shapes. I made 3 rainbow cakes ( we had lots of kids and parents) I made rainbow jello, skittles, chips and dip and some juice boxes and water. I made stations for the kids to play in. One with homemade playdough, cookie cutters and some rolling pins. One with paints and brushes and paper and a third with crayons, markers, stamps and cardstock, glue and tissue paper. I spent virtually nothing! I mean maybe $35 on the food and drinks and $35 on art supplies. Fabulous party, looked like I spent loads more! We had 24 kids and about 15 parents. So fun!!
