Have you heard of “glamping?” It’s been around for awhile but I JUST heard of it, and I was fascinated. I have a forestry degree and I have spent more than my fair share of time roughing it in the woods, so I was tickled to learn more about this glamorous camping alternative. Basically, glamping is being outside but with all the conveniences of the indoors. I think it’s funny, cool and totally something that I would do! There is something to be said about being comfortable yet still enjoying nature. After doing a little research, I pulled together my top 5 tips for glamping – things that I intend to do when (not if) I go. Click through the jump to see them!
Comfy Bed 1 of 5The bed is the central focus of any glamping excursion. Make sure it's big and comfortable. With lots of wonderful linens.

Beautiful Lighting 3 of 5When the lights go out, the magic needs to continue, so make sure to have a nice lighting scheme. This ranges from mason jar lanterns to makeshift chandeliers inside the tent.

Seating Arrangements 4 of 5Provide cushy chairs, and several of them. Sitting on dirt is not acceptable in glamping.

Finishing Touches 5 of 5Add awesome details to your lodging with things like pretty afghans and walking mats. Any seasoned glamper also appreciates color coordination.
