I’m sure I’ve mentioned before how small my apartment is. I live in a very tiny palace. Small doesn’t even begin to describe it. It is small in the way that Meg Ryan is cute. You get what I’m saying.
In another month we will move into an apartment that is nearly three times the size of this place. And even then, our new apartment will clock in at well under 1,000 square feet! Well, I thought it might be fun in a “this will make your own house feel GIGANTIC” kind of way to show you around my little place, highlighting the different ways we’ve found of keeping tight quarters ultra organized yet still feeling “homey.”
To start us off, I’ll take you on a little tour of my foyer, living room, and kitchen (seriously cluttered at the time of filming). Are you ready?
After the jump.
Ok. I’m not sure why the Jeopardy! theme was necessary (and long-time Nat The Fat Rat readers might enjoy a little hello at good old Petey and Barney — I miss those stinkers soooo badly). But did you enjoy my one sad arm chair covered in who even knows what? That was pretty impressive!
In the coming weeks, I’ll show you how we’ve made this teeny place work. Organizational tricks and quick ways to make a small, temporary place feel like your own. And then, in a month or so–hooray!–we’ll be decorating up a new apartment, and we’ll be doing it together.
I’m also excited to show you our little house in Idaho (we sold it last year, but I like to pretend it’s still mine).
Are you as excited as I am or what???
