After Christmas Sales 2011: 10 Clearance Deals You Shouldn't Miss

After months of prep and wrapping, the girls thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas yesterday. We have a couple more family celebrations this week, still, but I’m already thinking ahead to next year. And, that’s how I’m able to provide an amazingly abundant Christmas on a not-so-amazing budget.

The after-Christmas sales started first thing this morning — and it’s a great way to stock up on holiday decor, toys and more. Christmas clearance isn’t just for Christmas anymore! Here are things you’ll find on sale this week. Be sure to stock up.

Look for incredibly useful household items sold as small, boxed gifts. I picked up a new car charger for my iPhone for less than $5!

If you regularly decorate cakes & cookies, look for discounts on sets designed for the holidays. No one has to know my fun cupcake holder came in a holiday box, when I use it for birthday parties all year long.

Just like leftover Halloween candy, there are plenty of ways to use clearance Christmas candy. Stuff a birthday pinata, add it to cookies & brownies or even freeze it for next year's gingerbread house.

In addition to festive place setttings, you'll find fancy dishes & tableware on sale that you can use year round. Gold & silver items are popular this time of year but may not feature anything specific to the Christmas season.
