Crafty Spaces and Places for Kids

By Marie |

I often dream of the big beautiful craft rooms full of paper, crayons, ribbon, buttons, and really long counter tops!! I would DIE for a room full of cupboards and countertops! I love this children’s craft room designed by Margaret Norcott.

But in reality, where do I craft with my kids? Usually the kitchen table. I really don’t have room for anything more. I could kick my son out of his room and make him sleep on the couch, but that’s just mean. So the kitchen table it is.

But it works and we just go for it. We have a bucket full of our crafts, we set them out on the table, and have fun crafting. I’ve recently started a new kids craft series on my blog Make and Takes, as part of my Kids in the Craft Room videos, sharing a little about where we craft. Read on to see the video:

So where do you craft? Is on the floor, table, or maybe outside? It doesn’t need to be elaborate, just enough room to get things done!
