Cyber Monday Deals vs. Black Friday Deals

I’m a big Black Friday shopper — plans have been in the works for weeks already — but the hubby prefers to do his shopping online. Luckily, there’s a new(ish) shopping holiday for that. If the idea of staying up all night after Thanksgiving dinner (or standing in line at the crack of dawn) doesn’t appeal to you, check out Cyber Monday the next week.

On November 28th, 2011, retailers all over the web will offer deep discounts, encouraging shoppers to finish their holiday gift list online. You’ll find coupon codes, special offers and limited time deals. It’s like Black Friday for the stay-at-home shopper.

I really like the idea of shopping in a store — singing to Christmas music, shopping amongst the bustling crowds, seeing & touching all the possible gifts I’ll buy. But, there is something appealing about staying in my jammies to shop or making purchases from my desk at lunch break, while still scoring great deals!

Some of the online sales will start on Thanksgiving, with online Black Friday deals. Others will launch on the store’s website during their Black Friday opening times. The rest will be available the following Monday, with many lasting through the week! I’ll be back next week with full details, links and coupon codes you need.

Will you be shopping in stores or online this holiday season?
