DIY Doily Crafts For Christmas Decorating

By Natalie |

Oh I just love a good doily! Don’t you? I find I love doilies especially around the holidays. Doily decor naturally emulates the icy snowflake feel of the Christmas season and can stay out until well past February without feeling tired or stale, which is the mark of a good seasonal decor if you ask me.

I’m currently neck deep in paper doilies from Michael’s for a party I’m throwing this weekend, so I thought this would be as good a time as any to show you all of my favorite doily DIYs that are just perfect for a cold afternoon spent indoors, and that you can proudly display all through the upcoming winter season.

Hope you enjoy! After the jump.

"Is it almost dinner time?" "I don't know! Let me check the doily." So rad.

I made that paper doily wreath by Martha a few years back and it was beautiful. Just be very careful about storing those since they’re paper. Mine ended up ruined and honestly I haven’t had the gumption (funny word isn’t it?) to try again.

I am working on a coffee filter wreath though! It won’t have the lights so it’s not as fancy as the doily wreath. But The Hubs bought the wrong size coffee filters so I have the super duper jumbo pack in the wrong size. Perfect for my wreath. :)
