Get Organized in 2012: 15 Ways to Organize Your Laundry Room!

By jentatertots |

Getting organized is easier when you take it room-by-room! The next room on our organizing-the-whole-house tour is the Laundry Room. We could probably spend hours discussing great solutions for this room … but instead let’s get started with the highlights. I even put a chandelier in mine — just because it’s a laundry room, doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful!

Hang Your Ironing Board

Get that ironing board out of the closet, where it keeps falling out on you -- or out of its permanently set up spot in the guest room. Instead, hang it like the hotels do (only better)!

Don’t forget the built in ironing boards. I have one in white in my laundry room with white cabinets and white front loading machines and deep freezer. It looks great in there and the ironing board is our of site yet very handy when I need it. I also have glass jars for the soap and a small collection of ceramic green cabbage heads given to me by my mom and dad. Dad even had to go and buy a picture (Anne Geddes) of the baby in a cabbage for my room. My laundry room is small but cute and very functional.

I wish my laundry room looked that good! Great and simple organization ideas used. My friend and I started a laundry service from our homes and the one thing that we realized quickly was we needed a clothing or closet rack in the laundry room. It helps a ton!

When I was designing my laundry room I wrote a list of everything I would like to store and do in there and made sure that I had a space to do and store all those things
