Getting a Faux Zinc Look for Less

I love the look of zinc in home decor, but I don’t necessarily love the price tag. I’m willing to do the work if I can get the zinc look for less, so I did a little investigative work . . . and I found two techniques that I liked. The bonus? I can actually DO both of them! The two projects I spotted were the “EAT” kitchen letters and the designer inspired dresser, above. Aren’t they gorgeous? You can get the same look of zinc on a budget. Click through the jump to get the techniques!

Use spray paint and paper mache letters – find the tutorial 346 Living (EAT letters)

Use metallic paint and glazing medium – see the step-by-step at Freckled Laundry (silver dresser)
