Photo Fun Around the City

We have now lived in Seattle for a year and half and it never ceases to amaze me what a pretty city it is! The skyline is gorgeous and so iconic. The Space Needle alone is amazing, such a big part of downtown. We also love to shop at Pike Place Market, a must visit while you’re here. And be sure to take a ferry ride over to one of the islands as well.

While we’re out and about traveling the city, especially during the holidays, I’ve been making sure to take pictures of each of my favorite city spots, helping us capture the beauty we see.

Here are just some of the sights I’ve been capturing during the Holidays in Seattle:

    Space Needle at Night
The most iconic building in Seattle, the Space Needle is one of our favorite spots to visit in the city. It's so pretty at night, especially at the holidays when they add lights at the top to resemble a tree.
  • Pike Place Market 2 of 11
    Pike Place Market
We love to take the kids to Pike Place Market. There are the fish market stands where you see an occasional flying fish, flowers are cheap for sale, and they have all sorts of fun artisans wares to buy.
  • Wall of Gum 3 of 11
    Wall of Gum
The kids love this one. Located just below Pike Place Market, it's a must see. Take some gum and add it to the wall.
  • Seattle Center Fountain 4 of 11
    Seattle Center Fountain
Near the Space Needle, right at the Seattle Center, there is the Children's Museum, Science Center, and the water fountain. We love to watch it flow. It's also a good one to visit at night.
  • Cool Street Performers 5 of 11
    Cool Street Performers
In almost any downtown area, you can find street performers, and Seattle is included. My daughter loved when this gold man asked her to help him out with his show.
  • Troll Under the Bridge 6 of 11
    Troll Under the Bridge
Located just north of Seattle, under the Fremont Bridge, this Troll is an amazing statue. And huge, if you can't tell from the picture!
  • Seattle Skyline at Night 7 of 11
    Seattle Skyline at Night
For this photo, we were on the north side of the city at Lake Union, just over the Fremont Bridge. We took this of the Seattle skyline at night. Love this pic!
  • Seattle Date Night 8 of 11
    Seattle Date Night
I highly suggest you plan a date night into the city. My husband and I love to visit all the sites by ourselves too. There are amazing restaurants all over the city.
  • Beach Walk on the Puget Sound 9 of 11
Beach Walk on the Puget Sound
Over at Discovery Park, near Magnolia on the northwest side of Seattle, there is a fun beach trail right on the Puget Sound. Be sure to wear a snow hat and gloves, it's windy!
  • Ferry Ride over to BainBridge 10 of 11
    Ferry Ride over to BainBridge
Another windy place in the city is taking a ride on the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. We have some friends who live there and we love to visit them as we ride the ferry. In the photo above, the other half of the picture is from our ride home of the Seattle skyline.
  • Great Wheel of Seattle 11 of 11
    Great Wheel of Seattle
Be sure to check out the Great Wheel - the brand new ferris wheel located on the pier down on the water at Elliot Bay. It's a must see while visiting.

What are some of the fun places to visit where you live?
