Juicing for Health

By ashleyhackshaw |

So…I’m on a new kick. Juicing. I try to make fresh juice at least once a day…..as a snack or for a meal supplement. See all of the fruits and vegetables above? I made them all into a juice drink…..and it tasted great…..and I’m not just saying that. I’m a picky eater…..also guilty of eating way too many donuts, too much fast food and emptying the candy jars…..so believe me when I say the juice tastes GOOD.

A few reasons I juice:

1. Juicing helps me quickly absorb all the nutrients from fruits and vegetables that I might lose otherwise through difficult digestion.
2. I can add vegetables that I wouldn’t eat on their own….because I can hide the taste with other juices.
3. I can tell I have more energy and that I feel better throughout the day when I juice…..and my body doesn’t have to spend precious energy digesting pounds and pounds of vegetables.

Here are a few starting out tips and great links!

The Juicer

There are tons of juicers out there....just do your research. I wouldn't spend too much. I love my Jack Lelane Power Juicer. I picked mine up at Costco. It's easy to clean if you just rinse it right after you are done using it.
The Jack LaLanne site has juicer information and tons of juicing tips and recipes.
