Mix Up Some Bar-Ba-Loot Snacks from Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax

I couldn’t resist coming up with this fun and festive snack for the new upcoming movie, Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax. My kids are way too excited to see the movie, but we still have a couple of weeks to see it. So for the time being, we are making Truffula Tree crafts and eating Bar-ba-loot snacks.

The bear-like creatures in Dr. Seuss’ book The Lorax are called Brown Bar-ba-loots. They like to eat the white Truffula Tree fruit.

Here’s what we used to mix up our snack:

Supplies:

  • chocolate Teddy Graham snacks
  • mini marshmallows

To re-create the scene I’ve seen in The Lorax trailer, where the Bar-ba-loots are swimming and canoeing in the white fruit, we’re snacking on chocolate Teddy Grahams and marshmallows. Simply fill your bowl with the bears and the marshmallows, and you’re ready to snack!

**You could also add a few fish shaped crackers to represent the fun orange fish that are a big part of the forest as well.

Have fun snacking while you watch!

A big thanks to Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax for sponsoring this campaign. Click here to see more of the discussion.
