Gold Envelopes: Oscar-themed projects to make with kids


Invite friends over to watch the Oscars and create ballots and awards of your own – or simply use these dazzling envelopes to create a special note for someone. These sparkly Oscar envelopes will be a hit with everyone!


Gold scrapbook paper, 12×12 (Tip: If you can’t find scrapbook paper – you could color regular white paper with a gold crayon, or spray with spray-paint and add glitter to give it some sparkle.)

Glue or double-sided tape




Old envelope

Alphabet stickers and other embellishments


Step 1: Take an old envelope and carefully pull apart the flaps to create a template.

Step 2: Place envelope flat on the scrapbook paper and trace around with a pencil.

Step 3: Cut out shape from scrapbook paper.

Step 4: Using the old envelope as a model and a ruler as your guide, fold the envelope and glue each tab to secure (except the top flap!).

Step 5: Decorate and embellish as desired!
