Pendleton Eye Candy to Fuel Your Pendleton Moment

By Natalie |

You guys, I am having a major Pendleton moment. Do you LOVE Pendleton like I do? No, I’m not talking about the city in Oregon (which I’ve driven through a time or two), I am of course referring to Pendleton USA, the famous wool manufacturing company.

Pendleton USA is best known for their plaid men’s shirts, but apparently they have this fantastic line of wool throws and rugs and crazy, amazing tableware in the most intensely awesome patterns that I’d somehow never seen, and lately I have become downright obsessed with them.

It seems to me that Pendleton-type patterns heavy on the Native American influences are having a major moment in home design, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s such a fun way to add a quick dash of personality to an otherwise formal room, and I’d love nothing more than a Pendleton platter, or a Pendleton-esque throw to toughen up that over-stuffed blue velvet sofa of my dreams (that I may someday hopefully own if I ever find an affordable option that is also a sleeper — sounds impossible!).

After the jump, my favorite Pendleton and Pendleton-esque eye candy, guaranteed to get your juices flowing!

CAVEAT: Unfortunately, Pendleton is NOT CHEAP, but it seems to be the type of item you could find at a thrift shop or buy second-hand to score a deal. I’ve tried to find some budget-friendly alternatives (and there are a couple under $30 that might hit the spot!) but otherwise, this may be strictly eye candy.

Having A Pendleton Moment

The real deal, coming in at a whopping $249. But don't worry, I've found a few cheaper options later in the slideshow!

What do you think? Would you ever accessorize a room with a Pendleton or Pendleton-esque throw?

Here’s a shopping insider tip from a fellow former Northwesterner: Next time you are up in the Northwest you should check out the Pendleton Outlet (and take a tour of the mill!) You will find amazing Pendleton stuff at bargain prices. It’s in little old Washougal, Washington. Right across the river from Portland, Oregon!
