by Joanne Roehm | October 24, 2011

These flowers take little time and effort but provide big results, and tissue paper is easy for little hands to work with.

Tissue Paper Flowers

(3-4 Year Olds)

Supplies

Tissue paper in an assortment of colors, floral wire or green pipe cleaners, scissors

How to

Step 1: Draw and cut circles of tissue paper in various sizes and colors. The bigger the circles, the easier for kids to handle (think dinner plate size)

Step 2: Pinch centers of circles and twist to form short stems

Step 3: Insert bottoms of smaller circles into larger ones to create layers of petals

Step 4: Have an adult twist floral wire (or pipe cleaners) around base of flowers

Step 5: Fluff petals and arrange in vase
